Our platform’s versatility is particularly impactful in the field of toxicology, where rapid, accurate quantification of small molecule drugs-of-abuse (DoA) or therapies is essential for improving patient outcomes, especially in cases involving Opioid use Disorder and other substance dependencies. Synthetic opioids accounted for ~80% of overdose deaths in the past year, and Transversal aims to attack this devastating crisis from multiple angles. We are currently seeking non-dilutive funding for and developing a suite of toxicology sensors that will give healthcare providers real-time, on-the-spot data during a single visit. This rapid feedback loop is invaluable in managing patient care, allowing for timely interventions that can prevent overdoses, enabling the development of rapid detox protocols, and guiding dosage adjustments and provider concerns with medication assisted therapies to drastically improve treatment efficacy. Our sensors can measure key toxicological markers with precision, setting a new standard in point-of-care toxicology diagnostics and paving the way for precision medicine to combat the opioid crisis.
